Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best time to call from New York to London?
The best window is 9 AM to noon New York time (2 PM to 5 PM London) in winter. London is 5 hours ahead of New York in winter (4 hours in summer when clock changes don't align). After noon ET, London is past 5 PM — outside normal business hours for most offices.
What is the best time to call from the US to India?
The business hours overlap between the US East Coast and India (UTC+5:30) is extremely limited — roughly 30 minutes in standard time. The most practical window is 7:30–9 AM ET, which corresponds to 6–7:30 PM IST — still within reasonable evening hours in India. US West Coast has even less overlap; calls typically require someone to join outside normal hours.
How do I find a time that works for three or more timezones?
Add all three locations in the planner above. The overlap summary shows windows where all locations fall within business hours (9 AM–6 PM). For east-west combinations spanning more than 10 hours, there is often no window where all locations are in normal business hours — someone will need to join early or late.
What is the best time for a US–Europe meeting?
The standard window for US East Coast (ET) and Western Europe (CET) is 9 AM–noon ET / 3–6 PM CET in winter. This gives a 3-hour overlap. For US West Coast (PT) and Europe, the window is extremely narrow — roughly 9–10 AM PT / 6–7 PM CET — meaning European participants typically need to stay late.
Does Daylight Saving Time affect the best call time?
Yes — and it can shift the overlap window by an hour when different countries change their clocks on different dates. The US changes clocks in early March; most of Europe changes in late March; some countries don't observe DST at all. The planner above always uses current real-time offsets, so it accounts for DST automatically.
